How to Join

The first thing to do is come along to one of our sessions and see if you like it.

We run "Stick & Puck" every Sunday from 4.30pm to 5.10pm (there is a public skating session from 2.00pm to 4.00pm if you want to warm up first!) which is a low speed try-out session, using softer pucks and slower speed so only minimal safety equipment is necessary. It's a great way just to get the feel for holding a hockey stick and knocking the puck aimed at absolute beginners and intermediate levels.

If you can skate fairly well (no holding on to the edges allowed, sorry!) and feel a little more confident on the ice, come and see us on Wednesday from 4.30pm onwards - please see the Training Times Calendar for times for your age group. Please arrive early as it can take 30-40 minutes to put on the necessary mandatory safety equipment. Or if you would just like to come and watch, feel free to do so. We will supply all kit necessary and you can get out on the ice and give it a try to see if you like it. Our entry requirements are not very strict. You join the club to learn how to play - you don't need to know how to play before joining!

Once you have decided you would like to join the club, you will need to complete one of our REGISTRATION PACKS. Download and print from the website, or pick one up from the ice hockey information desk. Read the information at the front, fill in the forms at the back, and hand it in!

Just in case you didn't know, we are based at the Oxford Ice Rink.
